MBH Novices training decentralized soon

TRAINING for the first year Novice of the Melanesian Brotherhood MBH at Tabalia will be decentralized to the Diocese as of next year. This was one of the many agenda discussed by the MBH at the Regional Council meeting held on the 13th to 17th of August in the Diocese of Ysabel.
The purpose of decentralization process is to allow more young men to have an opportunity of becoming brothers. The movement will be less expensive as the students will not meet other transportation costs to come to Honiara and Tabalia. As well as that, the MBH body now has the confidence that their households can run the training as was done in the past.
Selected Brothers from the council meeting and the chaplain in each section will be trained to go out to the Diocese conducting trainings for the Novice. Materials and other necessary items required for this training of novice in the diocesan level will be provided by the MBH.
This means, Tabalia will only concentrate in year two and year three students.
Training of Novices in the Dioceses was ones held in the Diocesan households but was moved to the MBH headquarter as a result of the recent ethnic tension that causes a lot of instability to the households.
