It’s been wonderful visiting a partner church with which we’ve enjoyed our relationship for almost 50 years. This being my first visit I’m enormously grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received everywhere we went. I thoroughly enjoyed the worship and the great joy and conviction, with which the people sing, dance and pray and the great revenge they have for the word of God and for the sacrament. I’ve been deeply moved by this church’s commitment in putting their faith into action in meeting the needs of so many people, particularly those who have been victims of domestic violence, addictions and those who have been pushed out in school systems. This is a church perhaps like none other where the religious strong both in numbers and in deep partnership with the Dioceses. Most Parishes have a household of religious who are assisting the clergy with pastoral care, counseling and spiritual direction. The orders are a true blessing to this church and its commitment to the gospel. This is a church with many visions, some of which have been fulfilled and many more continued to be unfold. I feel blessed to have met so many wonderful people and humbled by their desire to serve God faithfully through the church. With Archbishop David Vunagi, I hope our partnership will go on from strength to strength.

It’s been wonderful to be part of a Primatial visit to the Church of Melanesia. I’m very pleased with the connection growing between Primates of our two churches and the way their friendship is leading and renewing our churches’ partnership in mission.
Ms Ali Symons, Senior Editor and Communication Officer of the Anglican Church of Canada.
It’s been a joy to visit the Anglican Church of Melanesia for the first time. People have been very generous in welcoming us wherever we have gone. I will especially remember two things: the deep worship life and the creative ways the churches are helping the community, like the farm at Garanga and the Christian Care Center. I see that mission work and can be difficult in this part of the world but I also see great success and hope. I will keep this in my prayers.
